Frantisek Sismilich was born October 23, 1786, in Klisinec #13, along with a twin sister, Anna. He was the son of Jan Jirik Sismilich and his wife Anna. Like his father, Frantisek was a stone-cutter. His wife Anna Bambas was born November 19, 1793, in Klisinec #6. She was the daughter of Josef and Anna Fort Bambas. Her mother Anna was originally from Kovarov #33, while her father Josef was a small farmer in Klisinec. Frantisek and Anna were married in Kovarov on November 8, 1825. They had six children, only one of whom was a boy. Their first child, Josephine, was born in April 1825 - before they were married. Anna, their second, was born in April 1826 - a mere six months after the wedding. Barbara was born in 1828, another daughter named Anna in 1831, Frantisek in 1833, and Marie in 1837. Aside from son Frantisek, who would eventually emigrate to the United States, nothing more is known of any of the members of this family.
